Salt Marsh Sails

Salt Marsh Sailing

A north Norfolk Salt Marsh exploration involves a sail through the protected creeks, in either the engineless mussel flat or the crab boat and on very high tides the whelk boat; We sail off the pontoon at the very start of the tide from East Quay, Wells-Next-the-Sea, as the sea flows into the salt marsh until the waters are static at high tide about 2 hrs later. We then pause for an hour or so to enjoy a hot drink and one of Norfolk’s best locally sourced meals, which could include local artisan sourdough, Norfolk cheeses, locally made pies and more. We then use the outgoing tide to sail us back to the pontoon at Wells. Sail north Norfolk!
